I recently read, and summarized a book on automating finances (see -> financebookblog.blogspot.sg/2014/07/the-automatic-millionaire.html).

I believe as a start it’s good to cultivate discipline, or for the undisciplined, to simply automate to protect yourself from (over-rewarding) yourself! =)

I try to focus on only automating investments and savings, but have attempted to “un-automate” debt increases (like using my credit card).

I do find that automating investments etc enables me to take a lot of the emotion out of investing.
